Ethiopian opal is a relatively new contender on the opal market, however it is capable of producing material with exceptional play of colour and top quality "crystal" opal. This is an absolutely stunning stone, with a brilliant patchwork of fire from every direction and not being too deep it faces up as a huge stone. This type of material is not easy to come by especially for under $2,600 and would make a fantastic show piece.
